Position Overview:
We are seeking qualified and dedicated qualified ECE Relief Teachers to join our pool of educators. As a relief teacher, you will provide crucial support to early childhood centers by stepping in to cover staff absences, ensuring continuity in the children's learning and care. This role offers flexibility and the opportunity to work in a variety of early childhood settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching and Care: Provide high-quality education and care to children, following the established curriculum and center policies.
  • Adaptability: Quickly adapt to different early childhood environments, understanding each center’s unique procedures and culture.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for all children.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with children, staff, and parents, ensuring clear and positive interactions.
  • Professionalism: Demonstrate professionalism in all interactions, upholding the standards and reputation of our agency.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
  • Experience: Previous experience working in early childhood education is preferred.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of early childhood education principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and establish rapport with children and staff.
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor.

Personal Attributes:

  • Passionate about early childhood education and care.

Are you passionate about working with our youngest tamariki? Aroha Consulting Limited is looking for a Head Teacher to lead our Under 2's team in Central Auckland. You'll create a warm, safe space where babies and toddlers can explore, learn, and grow. This is your chance to shape early childhood education, lead a small team, and make a real difference in those crucial first years of life.

Responsibilities

- Plan and run daily activities that support babies' and toddlers' development through play and exploration
- Lead and support your team to deliver quality care across the Under 2's room
- Build strong relationships with whānau and keep them updated on their tamariki's progress
- Ensure the space stays safe, clean, and follows all health and safety standards
- Contribute to the centre's approach to te ao Māori and inclusive practice

Requirements

No experience needed — full training provided.
- Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) certificate or equivalent qualification
- You don't need lots of experience, but enthusiasm for mōtika (care) and learning with under 2's is essential
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- A genuine interest in supporting your team and working well with whānau

Job Title: Hospitality Worker (Casual)

About Us:
We are Aroha Consulting, a premier agency specialising in providing high-quality temp staff to ECE, Hospitality, Aged Care and Retails businesses across New Zealand. Our mission is to support centres by supplying skilled and passionate employees who can step in and maintain the highest standards of care and work ethic.

Position Overview:
We place hospitality staff into cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels and event venues across the region. Shifts vary from a few hours to full days, and you choose the ones that suit you. It suits people who like variety, want flexibility around study or other commitments, and can walk into a new venue and get up to speed quickly.

What you'll be doing

  • Greeting and seating guests, taking orders and delivering food and drinks
  • Operating a POS system, processing payments and handling cash accurately
  • Setting up and packing down dining areas, function spaces and bars
  • Clearing tables, running dishes and keeping service areas clean and stocked
  • Basic food preparation and plating under kitchen supervision
  • Following food safety, allergen and hygiene procedures at every venue
  • Assisting with stock rotation, deliveries and end-of-shift close down
  • Responding to guest requests and complaints calmly, escalating where needed

What we're looking for

  • Reliable and punctual, with a track record of turning up when you say you will
  • Comfortable on your feet for extended periods and able to lift up to 15kg
  • Clear communication and a friendly manner with guests and team members
  • Able to work quickly and accurately during busy service without losing composure
  • Available for evenings, weekends and public holidays
  • Legal right to work in New Zealand

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in a cafe, restaurant, bar, hotel or event venue
  • Barista experience or completion of a barista course
  • Current Duty Manager Certificate or LCQ (required for bar and alcohol service roles)
  • Food safety or food handling certification
  • Experience with common POS systems
  • Full or restricted driver licence and reliable transport
