ECE Qualified relief teacher – Auckland
Aroha Consulting is expanding its relief teacher pool and seeking ECE-qualified registered teachers to support early childhood centres across Auckland. This is a flexible, on-call position ideal for educators who value variety, autonomy, and professional growth.
About the Role
You will be placed across ECE centres on a casual basis to cover short-term and same-day absences. The role requires adaptability, strong teaching capability, and a commitment to delivering a safe and positive learning experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality teaching, care, and supervision.
- Support learning programmes, routines, and centre.
- Maintain compliance with health, safety, and reporting requirements.
- Build constructive relationships with children, staff, and leadership teams.
- Represent Aroha Consulting with professionalism at all partner sites.
Requirements
- Current NZ Teaching Council Registration (ECE or Primary).
- Recognised ECE or Primary teaching qualification.
- Must be currently residing in New Zealand.
- Must hold valid work rights in NZ (work visa, residency, or citizenship).
- Teaching Council registration card must be valid and current.
- Current First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
- Strong communication skills and a reliable, proactive approach.
- Ability to work flexible hours and travel across Auckland.
